6-13-2021 Update Return To Worship Information

Dear Church Family, June 7, 2021

I hope this finds you and yours well. On Pentecost Sunday, May 23rd, we began
worshipping together again in the sanctuary. It is wonderful to see each other’s beautiful faces, masks and all! If you are not yet able to join us, we hope that you are worshipping with us through the live stream of the service or at another time through the video recording.

Today session met to evaluate our current safety protocol for in person worship in light of the Center for Disease Control’s recent updates.
For fully vaccinated persons, the CDC now states ~
* You can resume activities that you did prior to the pandemic.
* You can resume activities without wearing a mask or staying 6 feet apart, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace.
* If you’ve been around someone who has COVID-19, you do not need to stay away from others or get tested unless you have symptoms.

Non-vaccinated persons are advised to continue to take preventative measures as they are
at risk of infection. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/participate-inactivities.html

Session has therefore decided to make the wearing of face coverings optional for all fully vaccinated persons for church activities. We do encourage non-vaccinated persons to wear face coverings. At the same time we also recognize that the choice to wear or not wear a face covering is a personal decision that is based on accepting responsibility for possible infection.
